Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are necessary for urgent care needs. We encourage appointments for routine services, such as physicals and periodic visits for chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.
What level of emergencies do you treat?
AMC specializes in providing cost-effective care of acute injuries and conditions that are not life threatening, such as lacerations, broken bones, strep throat, influenza, and ear infections.
Do you provide primary care?
Yes, AMC provides primary care services for the entire family.
Do you accept insurance?
Most insurance is accepted and billed as a courtesy. Patients are expected to pay any deductible and co-insurance at the time of service. We do not accept out of state or federal worker’s compensation, auto, or other third party insurance. Please be sure to bring your current insurance information.
What if I am uninsured?
Patients are expected to pay at the time of service.
Are you a preferred provider?
Yes, for Blue Cross and Aetna. We do not have any HMO agreements.We are also a preferred provider for the wellness programs for the Alaska Electricians (at all three clinics), the Laborers WMC, and Pipefitters Unions at our Wasilla location.
Do you accept Medicare?
We have Medicare “opt-out” providers available, but we are not accepting new Medicare patients. Existing patients that move on to Medicare will continue to be seen at our offices.
Do you provide obstetrics services?
No, we would refer you to a provider in O.B. practice.Do you refill prescriptions on the same day?
We would like to have a 24 hour notice to refill a prescription. We do our very best to accommodate same day prescription refills.
