Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Wasilla
Wasilla Medical Clinic is looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced Urgent Care that also provides Primary and Specialty Care services. Our office provides flexible schedules, a supportive work environment, and an emphasis on learning and education. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred but not required.
We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, a self-starter, and has a desire to make a positive difference in our community.
The schedule for this position varies. Weekday shifts are 10 hours. Weekend shifts are 8 hours.
Pay is variable depending on experience.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Obtain vitals and chief complaint
- Perform CLIA-Waved lab tests
- Communication with providers and other office staff
- Assist with answering phones and calling patients
- Communication with outside Provider's offices to coordinate patient care
- Perform patient education
- Perform ECGs
- Perform X-rays
- Phlebotomy
- Assist with in-office procedures
Qualifications:
• Previous medical assistant experience preferred, not required
• Must possess a valid CCMA, NCMA, or AAMA certificate
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Professionalism towards patients, co-workers, and management

At Wasilla Medical Clinic, we are seeking a dedicated Receptionist to become part of our dynamic team. We are a fast-paced medical facility that offers Urgent Care, Primary Care, and Occupational Medicine Services. We provide a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

This position is full time. The schedule for this position varies. Clinic hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Pay varies based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar effectively.
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately and ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and requests promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing, and medical claims processing.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure that all patient needs are met with a kind, caring, and compassionate attitude.
- Utilize software systems such as Microsoft and EHR for data entry and scheduling.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work in a fast-paced environment.
